Art Instructor/Youth Enrichment Specialist

Art Instructor / Youth Development Specialist
Position Objective:
This position is responsible for planning and leading art and youth enrichment programs for children 1st grade through 18 years old.
General Work Hours:
September - May
27.5 hours per week
Monday through Friday - 1:30 - 7:30pm
June - August
40 hours per week
Monday - Friday - 9:00am - 5:00pm
Requirements:
 High School diploma or equivalent
 Experience in helping facilitate youth programs OR college classes related to art, teaching or child development
 Willingness to work with diverse populations
 Ability to work as a member of a team
 Good communication skills with children and adults
 Positive attitude and a desire to positively impact youth
Job Responsibilities:  Lead art programs for youth in monochromatic drawing, multicolored drawing, pastel, watercolor, oil/acrylic, print making, mixed media, collage and a collaborative group projects
 Lead programs for youth that include homework help, academics, arts, fitness, health and character development
 Complete administrative work such as attendance sheets and program plans
 Assist other Club staff members with programs
 Work with Club staff to plan programs and activities
 Help serve meals and snacks
 Help create a fun and safe Club environment
 Help with special events or activities
$10.00 per hour. Must have a valid driver’s license. Background check and drug test required.
